Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Eighty

The little things in life seem to slip through our fingers when we get busy. It’s good to enjoy popcorn and a movie with spouse man. Enjoy the little thing about today.

Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Seventy Nine

I’m not going to let fear hold me back from life. I better understand courage since peeling these: I did it even though I was afraid I might cut my hand again. I was courageous today and that feels awesome.

(It was pretty nerve wracking holding the potatoes with my hand I cut last time. I took things real slow, but it got doneā€¦ with no injuries this time.)

Trying new things is an important part of being more colorful. I’m glad I had my good buddy Hannah to share in my first pedi!

(‘Colorful’ is my word for 2013)

Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Seventy Seven

My first real trip as a solo driver was to get me some celebration donuts! I had an awesome day celebrating and catching up with family!

Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Seventy Six

Today I did the meal planning and the grocery shopping without Adam. It was nice not being totally alone, a good friend came to keep me company! What’s even more awesome is being able to get more done at a time: I went shopping and Adam did the laundry! Our family is learning the power of multitasking.

[This picture was taken from my walk yesterday.]

Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Seventy Five

Goal one for the year: Complete. Today I passed my driver’s test!!!!! To celebrate I went and got a new purse. Thanks to Adam for all his help, and a HUGE thank you to everyone who has prayed for me and encouraged me! The biggest thanks goes to God for teaching me to fight for what I want through prayer.

(Sorry I didn’t post anything last night, guys. I got really sick and wasn’t able to get anything posted. My Daily Discipline for yesterday was practice practice practice. I worked for hours on parking and diving in reverse. The hard work payed off though!!!)

Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Seventy Three

Today I did all the little things I used to have to be so deliberate to do without even thinking about it. I’ve made good habits. I still have a long way to go, but I’m amazed at how far I have come.

(These flowers came from the hillside in front of our apartment building. Wild flowers are so charming.)
