Daily Disciplines: Day Two Hundred Eleven

I’ve been working on this habit for several years and I’ve mastered different aspects of it over time, but I’m really proud of my recent progress. I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. That may seem trivial or something you’d do without thinking, but eating three healthy meals a day has been a real struggle for me. Hooray for food!

It’s good to know my boundaries. It’s also good to nap. Today I realized I needed a nap and I took one. It was just what I needed.

Daily Disciplines: Day Two Hundred Eight

I’ve done a fair amount of celebrating this year but today was special. Celebrating the miracle of life is a beautiful blessing. It was a huge privilege being able to celebrate and fellowship with my cousin and her husband. This is their second little girl and she already has her own room in my heart.

I got to take a 4 or 5 mile walk with my best friend today. I’m very privileged to even be able to say that… I’m glad I seized the day today.

Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Five

I’m so glad that the water I got on my coffee table smiled at me. I really needed to be reminded in a gentle way that I can smile through painful and hurtful things that are said. I can choose joy.
