The days are getting much cooler and the sun goes away too early for me, so I’ve picked up something fun to read. I’ve never read a book on an electronic device, and I haven’t read a book purely for my own pleasure in ages, newness all around!
[GUYS, only 65 days left of 2014. Where did this year GO?!?]
Let the demo begin!
[Adam and Joshua began the project of putting in our attic access. This will be the first of many projects!!]
Today I had an opportunity to be ready “out of season” for something and I didn’t even flinch. Well, I was kinda nervous and maybe a little shy, but I tackled the task without wigging out. Those awkward seasons of preparation are so worth it.
[These things are so nifty! We need some back home.]
[My husband and I are staying with some acquaintance-friends while we’re in Philly, and our host got a terrible migraine while we were out! She asked me if I could drive, which I’m proud to say I can, but there’s a little snag. I sit on a booster seat when I drive because I’m so petite, but it’s not here because I didn’t drive up here. I was able to get the job done with relative ease, surprisingly! It was a big blessing for me to be able to help someone when they really needed it.]
When in Philly, eat as the Phillies do!!
I had my first Philly Cheese Steak today and it was a treat.
Level Unlocked: HOMEOWNERSHIP!
[Today we signed the papers and this house is now our home. Lots of joy joy joy!]
It’s back!!! The move really put a damper on my crafting, but I’m beginning to revive it.
A good ol’ apology, when sincerely meant, can be scary to deliver. Thank God for gracious friends.
[Also, getting house insurance can be funny. Volcanos better watch it, my house is covered!]
Life is short, so make time for people you love…even if it’s spur of the moment. I praise God that I even have people in my life who want to spend time with me because I could have no one. Just some thoughts I had while running around and visiting with my friends and family…
[BEST. JELLY. EVER.]
Organizing and cleaning isn’t a very exciting thing, but it’s very noticeable when not done. Today I was blessed with Adam’s company and we went around the house cleaning and organizing what all is unpacked already. Our laundry area looks a million times better!
Out with the old and in with the new! Little improvements and changes are making this space uniquely ours. Three cheers for Adam getting both the doors changed this evening!!
