Adam and I took Victor to the park for the first time! We just walked around the paved walking trail they have, but it felt nice to be out about in the sunshine for a little while. I really haven’t been as active as I like, for obvious reasons, so I’m really really really looking forward to being more back to myself and getting active again!
If ya’ll forgot, I was working out earlier this year with my awesome neighbor. And, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been keeping mum on that front. The silence was because we’ve been really sporadic about getting together. One thing or another seemed to be getting in the way, however there is hope! Heather and I are back at it and chipping away at our health goals. I may be extra sore, but I’m oh so proud. Cheers to getting back “on the horse” so to speak.
[COLOR CHANGING SILLY PUTTY IS AT TARGET!!!! I’ve been looking for this for Adam for YEARS! It’s the best. Seriously.]
Adam was kind enough to mention our crazy push-up plan for June yesterday, but I wanted to update ya’ll on May’s plank challenge. I got behind a few days, so I’ve picked up where I left off. It would be waaaaaay nice to not have to do both challenges at once, but I gotta finish what I start. I’m proud to say I did my four minute plank with relative ease!
[Check out me and my homegirl from last weekend.]
Since I moved and cut my hand I really got off my exercise routine…like, I wasn’t doing it… Soooooo, I’ve been working on getting back into the groove. I’m pretty pumped because I’ve gotten up to 13 push-ups and added some more stretches!
(This picture is of the park my church picnicked at today. It was SUPER fun to swing, it’s my favorite!)
Today was crazy awesome in a bunch of ways. I busted out my old toe shoes and got my heart rate up playing some ultimate frisbee!! We picked up some kids that are getting ready to move (so their mom had some space to think!) and had a a bunch of fun in a semi muddy field. Picking them up changed everything about our day, but it was totally for the better. I think we get to caught up in ourselves and our plans that we forget to leave room to be there for others and just experience life!
