Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Sixty Six

Ladies used to have hope chests for when they got married. Inside they’d place things for their future home and future married life. I sorta had one, but since I’ve been married I’ve used that chest to store some things that I’ve picked up along the way for our future children. Tonight I remembered that I hadn’t taken those things out yet! I’m so glad we had a little place to store some treasures for Cookie.

[This picture is probably gonna get a new frame, but my momma colored this for my nursery when I was a baby! It doesn’t really go with our modern type theme, but it does add so much love into the room. And the little apple toy was picked up at a yard sale years ago because I remember my grandma having one at her house. Casa de Cook: Mixing the Old and New.]

Daily Disciplines: Day Nineteen

You help create the environment you’re in. If you want something joyful, bring joy. If you want laughter, be funny! Our server at dinner tonight brought joy to our table and it was contagious! He made our date more fun and we made his night more fun, win win all around!
[What does one DO with a stuffed animal this big? Where would one STORE it? Why is this a thing?…I guess since it’s a unicorn none of these questions matter. The only question that DOES mater in this case is: how much does this beautiful thing cost???]

Daily Disciplines: Day One Hundred Eighteen

If ya’ll forgot, I was working out earlier this year with my awesome neighbor. And, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been keeping mum on that front. The silence was because we’ve been really sporadic about getting together. One thing or another seemed to be getting in the way, however there is hope! Heather and I are back at it and chipping away at our health goals. I may be extra sore, but I’m oh so proud. Cheers to getting back “on the horse” so to speak.
[COLOR CHANGING SILLY PUTTY IS AT TARGET!!!! I’ve been looking for this for Adam for YEARS! It’s the best. Seriously.]

Daily Disciplines: Day Ninety Nine

I ran some errands in town and out of town today. I’ve not really taken a solo venture outside my little town and it was fun. I also picked up a little something for a future investment.

[Also, the fact that I said ‘future investment’ and the fact that I’m posting a picture of this toy does not mean I’m pregnant. There are times I feel impressed to buy something small for the future and tuck it away till then. Don’t get excited.]
